Discovery Tool · prototype v0.1

Try localE in 10 minutes

Choose a commune and a real local question. The Discovery Tool shows how AI can help find and question evidence — and how you can challenge the answer it gives you.

One tool, not the whole of localE.

The Discovery Tool is a short demonstration of the localE approach. Different jobs need different tools — including questionnaires, deeper evidence research and tools designed for particular subjects. This is simply the easiest place to start.

For this demonstration, please use a French postcode and commune.

What happens?

The AI asks you to choose a commune and a question — for example water, population, climate or the local economy. It then looks for evidence, distinguishes evidence from inference and unknowns, and asks whether what it found fits with local knowledge.

At the end, it asks you to challenge its own answer: “What might you have got wrong?”

Evidence informs. People decide.

What this demonstration does not do

It does not install software, connect to mairie systems, make decisions for a community or require you to provide private information. It is experimental and is intended to show both what AI can help with and where its limits appear.

AI can be wrong. Important decisions should always be based on checked sources, appropriate expertise and human judgement.
